Ingredients

For the Puff Pastry:

  • 1 stick butter (8 tablespoons)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
  • ⅓ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pastry:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, bring the butter, water, and vanilla to a boil.
  • Add the flour all at once and stir vigorously. Continue stirring until the mixture pulls away from the sides and forms a thick dough ball.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each egg completely before adding the next. Continue until the dough becomes smooth and shiny.
