- 1/4 cup store-bought caramel sauce
- Extra chopped pecans for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease your baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Create the Apple Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Toss until the apples are evenly coated. Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Prepare the Topping: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and brown sugar. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla extract, stirring until you achieve a crumbly consistency.
- Assemble the Cobbler: Spread the apple mixture evenly in your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the crumbly topping uniformly over the apples.
- Bake to Perfection: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling around the edges.
- Add Final Touches: Remove from the oven and drizzle with caramel sauce. Sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top if desired.
