- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cups shredded cabbage
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Start by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the Filling: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess grease.
- Add Cabbage: Add the cabbage to the skillet, cooking until it’s softened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare the Dough: Press one can of crescent roll dough into the bottom and up the sides of the baking dish.
- Assemble the Casserole: Layer the beef and cabbage mixture on the dough. Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Top and Seal: Cover with the second can of dough, sealing the edges.
- Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
- Serve: Let the casserole cool slightly before serving to help the layers set.
