- 5 tablespoons melted butter
- ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips)

- Prepare the Cookie Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Crumble the cookies into fine crumbs in a medium mixing bowl and combine thoroughly with melted butter.
- Form the Crust: Press the cookie mixture firmly and evenly into a 9×9 inch pan, ensuring complete coverage.
- Initial Bake: Place in preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until edges are firm. Allow to cool on counter for 10 minutes.
- First Chilling: Refrigerate the crust for one hour until completely cooled and set.
- First Chocolate Layer: Melt half the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each interval until smooth.
- Layer Building: Spread melted chocolate evenly over the chilled crust and return to refrigerator for 15-20 minutes until firm.
- Peanut Butter Layer: While chocolate sets, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until well combined and smooth.
- Assembly Continuation: Carefully spread the peanut butter mixture over the hardened chocolate layer.
- Final Chocolate Layer: Melt remaining chocolate and spread over the peanut butter layer.
- Setting and Serving: Allow bars to set completely in refrigerator before cutting into 10 equal pieces.
